CHRISTO ROETS
ACCOUNTABLE MANAGER:
Christo Roets holds a Commercial Pilots License and an Airline Transport Pilots License. He has been actively involved in aviation operations in Africa since 2007. He currently has more than six thousand flying hours and also acts as the Operations Director and Accountable Manager for Westair Aviation. Christo has conducted many medical evacuations across Africa and is experienced in the field of aeromedical operations.
EDUARD BEZUIDENHOUT
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Eddie Bezuidenhout has extensive experience in the field of medical evacuation services in Africa. Eddie was the founder and managing director of one of Namibia’s largest joining the Westair team in June 2020. Eddie has extensive experience in managing large teams of paramedical staff and remote site operations. He is a qualified Advanced Life Support paramedic, has in the past held a Commercial Pilots License and is well known in the medical and evacuation fields within Namibia and Africa.
MICHAEL HAWKINS
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mike Hawkins is a Specialist Advanced Life Support Paramedic, holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Emergency Medical Care & Advanced Medical Rescue. Mike is an AHA BLS HPC & RCSA instructor, Aviation Medicine Instructor with NCAA and Technical Rescue, Advanced Life Support & First Aid Instructor with AIA. Mike is certified with ACLS-EP, ACLS, APLS, ANLS, ATLS, ITLS, EMOVA & EGLS courses from South Africa. Mike also holds an internationally recognized qualification in Hostile & High-risk Close Protection from Ronin SA.
