Medical Rescue Africa (MRA) is Namibia’s leading fixed wing & rotor wing Aeromedical Evacuation company specialising in the evacuation of critically ill and injured patients across Africa, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

MRA is based at Eros Airport in Windhoek, Namibia and focuses on the provision of innovative emergency medical evacuation solutions to various customers across Africa. MRA specializes in Remote Site & Austere area medical support to provide world-class emergency & primary health care solutions in conjunction with evacuation solutions 24/7.

The services are provided through a network of highly skilled & experienced Advanced Life Support Paramedics, Registered Nurses and Emergency Doctors.


AEROMEDICAL OPERATIONS
MRA, through Westair Aviation, has a dedicated fleet of Air Ambulance aircraft on standby which can land on unimproved airstrips as well as to operate at night and in bad weather conditions. Air crews undergo regular recurrency training, and all operations comply with the highest safety and quality standards namely BARS-GOLD standard. We strive for the utmost patient comfort & safety with the use of only the Med-Pac ® aeromedical life support stretcher systems which are all STC approved per aircraft. We have current aeromedical operations in Namibia, Mozambique, Sao Tome, Gabon & Senegal.​
GROUND AMBULANCE SERVICES
To ensure the best possible pre-hospital treatment to patients, MRA offers a 24-hour Road Ambulance & Primary Response Vehicle at Eros Airport for rapid critical care management and transporting a patient. The MRA Ambulance & Rapid Response Vehicle is equipped to an ICU patient care level for Neonatal to Adult patients. MRA has a standard service-level agreement with all accredited Ambulance Services across Namibia for effective Road Ambulance evacuation services should the requirement be to not activate the fixed wing Air Ambulance.

SPECIALISED TRAINING COURSES​
MRA operates an accredited Training Centre, offering specialised training courses delivered by skilled trainers. The programs include an Aviation-approved First Aid (Avmed) course tailored for pilots and cabin crew – covering topics like flight crew responsibilities, basic anatomy, CPR for adults, children and infants, AED use, medical and environmental emergencies, and childbirth. We also offer a Medical Aircraft Familiarisation and Safety Course designed for doctors, nurses and paramedics – focusing on aviation regulations, aircraft basics, safety protocols, in-flight emergencies, and patient safety during air evacuation.
